Cats tour announces first tour date in Wolverhampton

The much rumoured tour revival of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Cats today has an official announcement with a stop at the Wolverhampton Grand Theatre next March.

The record breaking musical will play at the Grand for the first time in over a decade as announced in the theatres new season brochure with performances from 19-30 March 2013.

Based on T.S. Eliot’s Old Possum’s Book of Practical Cats, casting and further dates are yet to be announced but with other venues expected to announce over the coming weeks.

The musical played its final West End performance in 2002 after almost 9,000 performances.
