Casting announced for UK tour of Evita

Casting has been announced for the upcoming touring production of Evita.

Emma Hatton will star in the iconic role of Eva Peron opposite Italian actor Gian Marco Schiaretti as Che.

Hatton's previous credits include roles in Wicked, We Will Rock You and Dreamboats and Petticoats. Schiaretti, who played the title role in Disney's musical Tarzan, will be making his UK debut as Che.

Further cast includes Kevin Stephen-Jones as Juan Peron and Oscar Balmaseda, Sarah O’Connor, Natalie Langston, George Arvidson, Lewis Barnshaw, Jessica Ellen, Callum Fitzgerald, Kellie Gnauck, Dominic Adam Griffin, Kate Leiper, Joe McCourt, Jude Neill, Chrissie Perkins, Oliver Slade, Matias Stegmann and Yuval Zoref.

Following a 2014 run at the Dominion, Bill Kenwright's production embarks on a tour on 12 January 2017 in Bromley.

Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber's musical tells the story of Eva Peron, wife of former Argentine director Juan Peron, and her journey from humble beginnings to extraordinary wealth. The score includes favourites such as "Don't Cry for Me Argentina", "On This Night of a Thousand Stars" and "Another Suitcase in Another Hall".

Following its run in Bromley (12 to 14 January) the tour will visit Southampton (17 to 21 January), Liverpool (24 to 28 January), Stoke-On-Trent (31 January to 4 February) it continues to Edinburgh, Bristol, Wimbledon, Oxford, Salford Quays, Cardiff, York, Sunderland and beyond.
