Shaun Dooley and Emily Bruni will feature in the one-act plays
Shaun Dooley (Broadchurch) and Emily Bruni (Peep Show) will star in Steven Berkoff's Lunch and The Bow of Ulysses at Trafalgar Studios next month.
The one-act plays will be directed by Nigel Harman (I Can't Sing, Shrek the Musical), with movement direction from Alistair David and sound design by Ben and Max Ringham.
Lunch is about a couple who meet and try to compress an entire relationship into one lunchtime, and The Bow of Ulysses is about a couple examining their failing marriage.
On the announcement of the productions, Harman said: "[Berkoff's] instinct for the human condition, with all it's flaws and wonders, is unique. I'm intrigued to put these plays on stage and see how an audience will react. They are a challenge to watch."
Dooley's theatre credits include Dinner With Friends at the Park Theatre and The Dark Earth and the Light Sky at the Almeida. Bruni can currently be seen in Amazon Prime series The Collection, her stage credits include Before You Were Born, Donkey Heart and Yes Prime Minister, all at the Trafalgar Studios.
Lunch and The Bow of Ulysses will run at Trafalgar Studios from 10 October to 5 November, with previews from 6 October.
