Casting for a new production of AA Milne's The Dover Road at Jermyn Street Theatre has been announced.

Patrick Ryecart (The King's Speech) will play Mr Latimer – a man who takes in two lovers after their car breaks down, and tells them they can't leave for seven days in order to see if a marriage between them would work.

Leonard will be played by Tom Durant-Pritchard (Restorations) and Georgia Maguire (As You Like It) will play Anne. The cast also includes Stefan Bednarczyk (Laughter on the 23rd Floor) as Dominic, Katrina Gibson (The Wizard of Oz) as Eustasia and James Sheldon (Eigengrau) as Nicholas.

The production is directed by Nichola McAuliffe with set by PJ McEvoy and lighting by James Smith.

The Dover Road was first performed in 1921 in New York, and opened at the Theatre Royal Haymarket the following year. This year marks 60 years since Milne's death, and the 90th anniversary of his children's classic Winnie-The-Pooh.

The Dover Road runs at Jermyn Street Theatre form 8 September to 1 October, with previews from 6 September.
