Cast announced for new musical The Return of the Soldier

Casting has been announced for the upcoming production of new musical The Return of the Soldier at the Jermyn Street Theatre, with Stewart Clarke starring as Captain Christopher Baldry.

He will be joined in the show, which opens on 2 September, by Zoë Rainey (Oh What A Lovely War, Wicked), Laura Pitt-Pulford (Marry Me a Little, The Light Princess), Michael Matus (Canterbury Tales, Lend Me a Tenor) and Charlie Langham.

Stewart Clarke's previous credits include Godspell in Concert, Loserville and Ghost. He plays a soldier returning from the war suffering from shell shock in Tim Sanders and Charles Miller's musical.

Producers Katy Lipson and Guy James said: "Our cast represent some of the finest West End names on the circuit at the moment and along with our fantastic creative team it's a testament to the strength of the piece."
