It will feature two brand new productions, the return of a feminist theatre festival, and plays about life post-Brexit
The autumn season at Camden People's Theatre will feature two brand new productions and a one-off event about being European post-Brexit.
Grown Up will see a cast of children performing scripts based on the answers of adults interviewed about being a grown up. Produced by Gameshow (This is the Moon, That is the Earth) and Emily Lim (Brainstorm), the play will run from 27 to 29 October.
Set in the near future, Merryville tells the story of two local rappers living in London's last "affordable" housing block, pondering how Brexit will impact their lives. It is produced by HighRise, and will run from 1 to 5 November.
Being European: After the Referendum is a day-long event which will explore European identity with newly commissioned works from Pablo Pakula, Jesse Fox and Ben Hadley. The event will also feature talks and discussions about life after leaving the European Union and will be held on 17 September.
CPT's feminist theatre festival Calm Down Dear returns for the fourth time. The festival includes a new production from Snuff Box Theatre (Bitchboxer), Blush, which is an investigation into revenge porn. The festival runs from 18 September to 9 October.
Sh!t Theatre will present Letters to Windsor House, which is about dodgy landlords and being part of "generation rent". The production featured in WhatsOnStage critic Sarah Crompton's top picks at this year's Edinburgh Festival, and will run from 14 to 16 October. It is part of January's Whose London Is it Anyway? festival, which also includes The City Limits and Land of the Three Towers.
