
Cabaret has unveiled its newest stars!
The musical, by composer John Kander, lyricist Fred Ebb, and book writer Joe Masteroff, is based on the play I Am a Camera by John Van Druten and the Berlin Stories of Christopher Isherwood.
From 26 January, Matt Willis will take on the role of the Emcee, with Katie Hall as Sally Bowles.
Ian Charleson Award nominee Baker Mukasa plays Clifford Bradshaw, while Ruthie Henshall has joined the cast as Fraulein Schneider, with Robert Hands as Herr Schultz, Lucas Koch as Ernst Ludwig and Jessica Kirton as Fraulein Kost/Fritzie, alongside Joe Atkinson, Xavion Campbell-Brown, Olivia-Rose Deer, Anya Ferdinand, Danny Fogarty, Adrian Grove, Ela Lisondra, Hícaro Nicolai, Andy Rees, Alexandra Regan, Manu Sarswat, Tom Scanlon, Eva-Rose Tanaka, Marina Tavolieri and Lucy Young.
The prologue company will also have a shake-up, with new members from 9 February 2026 being Isobel Bates, Jonathan Charles, Shanelle Clemenson, Zara Liu, Brian James O’Sullivan and Shiho Yokoyama. They join existing company members Rachel Benson, Ami Benton, Andrew Linnie, Dak Mashava and Jack William Parry.
The show, which first opened in the West End in late 2021, is directed by Rebecca Frecknall, with set and costume design by Tom Scutt and choreography by Julia Cheng. Musical supervision is by Jennifer Whyte and musical direction is by Ben van Tienen with lighting design by Isabella Byrd, sound design by Nick Lidster, wigs and hair design by Sam Cox and make-up design by Guy Common. The casting director is Stuart Burt and the original associate director and prologue director is Jordan Fein. The prologue composer and musical director is Angus MacRae.
Currently playing the roles of Sally Bowles and the Emcee are Eva Noblezada and Reeve Carney. The pair are scheduled to appear until 24 January 2026. Willis and Hall will appear until 23 May 2026.
Willis is not scheduled to perform on 18 March at 2.00pm and 7.30pm, 26 March at 7.30pm, 27 March at 7.30pm and 28 March at 2.00pm and 7.30pm. At these performances, the role of Emcee will be played by Atkinson.
