A graduate of Guildford School of Acting, T'Shan Williams' theatre credits include Caroline, or Change (Hampstead Theatre), Guys and Dolls (Royal Exchange Theatre), The Life (Southwark Playhouse) and The Book of Mormon (Prince of Wales Theatre).

She is soon to star as Heather Duke in Heathers the Musical, which runs at The Other Palace from 9 June to 4 August.

We caught up with T'Shan and asked her: "If you were stranded on a desert island which five showtunes could you not live without?"

TW: This doesn't include Disney and animation that's a whole other list!

1. "Home" from The Wiz

This song is emotive and just iconic, I love singing it! Not to mention it's been sung by some greats, Whitney Houston, Jazmine Sullivan and Diana Ross. Every interpretation gives me chills.

2. "Dogfight" from Dogfight

When I saw Dogfight a few years ago I'd never heard of the musical before. I fell in love with the narrative of this song and the face-off between Marcy and Rose who come from different walks of life.

3. "We Gotta Go" from The Life

You can't help but groove to that disco vibe. Queen finally shows Fleet the door. It was a joy performing this nightly and getting carried away with the adrenaline this piece requires.

4. Johanna from Sweeney Todd

It's beautifully romantic yet dark and eerie at the same time. I could've picked a few songs from Sweeney, but I chose this version of Joanna because the orchestra was so explosive.

5. "Guns and Ships" from Hamilton

Hamilton has so many different musical influences that I've up on. Gospel, rap and reggae to name a few. The precision of Lafayette's rap is mindblowing and gets me hyped!
