Gloria and Emilio Estefan's smash-hit musical congas into the West End from 14 June, and we can't wait! We asked Madalena Alberto (Eva Peron in Evita, Edith Piaf in Piaf and Fantine in Les Misérables), who plays Gloria Estefan's mother Gloria Fajardo, to give us five reasons to be excited about this summer's hottest show at the London Coliseum.

1. It's based on the true story of Gloria and Emilio Estefan

On Your Feet! charts the highs and lows of their lives together, beginning with the struggles of growing up in Miami following their arrival from Cuba, forming a band, bringing their Latin beats to the masses and then selling over 100 million records.

2. 26 of Gloria and Emilio's most iconic hits are performed live on stage!

The cast perform some of their best-known hits, including "Rhythm Is Gonna Get You", "Conga", "Get On Your Feet", "Don't Want To Lose You Now" and many more! You are bound to get on your feet with the irresistible beats of Miami!

3. There are sensational creatives and cast behind the project

The show has an extraordinary team behind it; it's directed by two-time Tony Award-winner Jerry Mitchell (Kinky Boots, Legally Blonde), with choreography by Olivier Award-winner Sergio Trujillo (Jersey Boys) and book by Academy Award-winner Alexander Dinelaris (Birdman). We also have incredible support from associate director Andy Senor and associate choreographer Natalie Caruncho, as well as the pleasure of working with musical supervisor Clay Ostwald, who is a member of Miami Sound Machine.

The show stars Christie Prades (In the Heights, West Side Story), who reprises her Broadway role as Gloria Estefan, George Ioannides (Annie, Mamma Mia!, An Officer and a Gentleman) as Emilio Estefan and Karen Mann (Sister Act, Fiddler on the Roof, Sweeney Todd) as Consuelo. I play Gloria Fajardo, who is Gloria Estefan's mother — a very tough and special lady.

4. Great for the whole family

The musical is the perfect summer treat for the entire family! It features four generations of Gloria's family, with children included in the cast. The show is perfect for all ages and has something for everyone. It's filled with love, hope, great music and sensational moves!

5. Be the first to see it!

This is a unique chance to see the first UK staging of On Your Feet! as it premieres at the London Coliseum this summer, before heading on a UK and Ireland tour. Don't miss it!
