Jamie Glover will direct a new production of Peter Shaffer's Five Finger Exercise from 18 January to 13 February as part of the Print Room's new season.

Glover returns to the Print Room following his production of Harold Pinter's The Dumb Waiter in 2013. Glover will take on Shaffer's family drama, which is set in the '50s and centres on a German student who comes to England to tutor the daughter of a well-to-do family. The play, which first opened in 1958, went some way to establishing Shaffer as a respected playwright.

The production will star Jason Merrells, Lucy Cohu, Lorne MacFadyen and Tom Morley.

Elsewhere in the season, actress Geraldine Alexander directs a new production of Jean Genet's Deathwatch (11 April – 7 May). Last presented in London in 1987, the play is set in a male prison and focuses on three prisoners in the same cell.

Alexander returns to the Print Room and to directing, following the production of her own play Amygdala.

Dancer Hubert Essakow concludes his trilogy of works exploring the elements with Terra (23 February – 12 March). The piece explores migration, exile and refuge and expresses the inner life of human relationships.

The Poetry @ the Print Room series also continues from 16 February.
