Danielle Hope joins Rock of Ages UK tour

Further casting has been announced for the upcoming production

Danielle Hope is to join the cast of the UK tour of Rock of Ages, it has been announced.

The winner of Over the Rainbow joins the cast with Sam Ferriday, whose previous theatre credits include The Jersey Boys and Ghost the Musical. Hope has starred as Eponine in Les Miserables and Maria in the UK tour of The Sound of Music.

Hope will play Sherrie, until 24 Novemer, and on the 26 November Jodie Steele will play the role following her performance in Heathers the Musical. Ferriday is to play the role of Stacee Jaxx until 9 December.

Hope and Ferriday join the previously announced Kevin Kennedy as Dennis, Zoe Birkett as Justice, Luke Walsh as Drew, Lucas Rush as Lonny, Andrew Carthy as Franz, Vas Constanti as Hertz and Rhiannon Chesterman as Regina.

Also joining the cast are Erin Bell, Alexander Day, Joshua Dever, Paris Green, Sinead Kenny, Ryan Lee-Seager, Adam Strong, Saran Webb and Bobby Windebank.

The tour of the musical begins at the Churchill Theatre in Bromley on 20 September this year. It features songs including "We Built This City", "The Final Countdown", "Here I Go Again", "Can't Fight This Feeling" and "I Want to Know What Love Is". The tour continues across the UK until 27 July.
