Tom Jones among guests at Close to You opening

The cast of Close to You – The Bacharach Musical celebrated opening night yesterday evening with guests including Kaiser Chiefs singer Ricky Wilson and Welsh star Tom Jones in attendance.

Kyle Riabko's acclaimed show transferred from the Menier Chocolate Factory to the West End's Criterion Theatre and features a plethora of Bacharach hits, including "Raindrops Keep Fallin' On My Head", "Alfie", "I Say a Little Prayer", "Close to You", "The Look of Love" and "Magic Moments".

The production, which is directed by Steven Hoggett, originally premiered in 2013 at New York Theatre Workshop, where it became the venue's longest running show.
