Caroline, Or Change extends in the West End, free tickets available for people called Caroline

The West End production of Caroline, Or Change will offer free tickets to anyone named Caroline as the show extends its booking period until 6 April 2019.

The hit show, which had a sell-out run at the Hampstead Theatre after originally running at Chichester Festival Theatre and was nominated for two Evening Standard Awards today, has announced the 'Carolines Go Free' scheme, which allows anyone called Caroline to have a free ticket when purchasing one or more accompanying seats. The initiative will be available in person at the box office or via the telephone.

According to DeedPolls online, you can change your name to Caroline for as little as £10.

The venue has also announced it will offer £5 tickets to anyone aged 16 to 25 as part of the Chichester Festival Theatre Prologue Scheme.

Caroline, Or Change is written by Tony Kushner (Angels in America) with a score by Jeanine Tesori (Fun Home). It stars Sharon D Clarke alongside Naana Agyei-Ampadu, Keisha Amponsa Banson, Alastair Brookshaw, Me'sha Bryan, Angela Caesar, Dujonna Gift-Simms, Sue Kelvin, Teddy Kempner, Ako Mitchell, Abiona Omonua, Vincent Pirillo, Tanisha Spring and Lauren Ward with Cassiopeia Berkeley-Agyepong, Zalika Henry, Laura Medforth, Timothy Quinlan and Teddy Wills.

The piece is directed by Michael Longhurst, with designs by Fly Davis, choreography by Ann Yee, musical direction by Nigel Lilley, lighting by Jack Knowles, sound by Paul Arditti.

It will open at the Playhouse Theatre on 20 November.
