More names have been announced as taking part in the 15th anniversary West End season of White Rabbit Red Rabbit at the Duchess Theatre.

Mel Giedroyc, Christopher Eccleston, Munya Chawawa, Steve Pemberton, Nish Kumar, Adam Buxton, John Bradley and Ginger Johnson are joining an already star-studded line-up including David Harewood, Asim Chaudhry, Jodie Whittaker, Riz Ahmed, Luke Thompson and Archie Madekwe.

Presented by There and Then, the new company founded by Iranian playwright Nassim Soleimanpour and director Omar Elerian, the production sees a different performer take to the stage each week, opening a sealed envelope containing a script they have never seen before. With no rehearsal and no director, each artist performs the play just once, creating a unique theatrical event every Monday.

Lucian Msamati, David Tennant and Jo Joyner have already appeared during the run. Upcoming performances include Asim Chaudhry (29 June), Luke Thompson (6 July), Jodie Whittaker (13 July), Kathryn Hunter (20 July), Kunal Nayyar (27 July), Munya Chawawa (3 August), Ginger Johnson (10 August), David Harewood (17 August), Mel Giedroyc (24 August), Adam Buxton (7 September), Archie Madekwe (21 September), Christopher Eccleston (28 September), Steve Pemberton (5 October), Riz Ahmed (12 October), Nish Kumar (19 October) and John Bradley (26 October). Further performers are yet to be announced.

Written in 2011 while Soleimanpour was unable to leave Iran, White Rabbit Red Rabbit explores themes of obedience, freedom of expression and the relationship between performer and audience. The play has now been performed more than 4,000 times worldwide and translated into over 25 languages.
