Bill Murray attends Groundhog Day performance on Broadway
The legendary actor reportedly shed a tear during the performance
Broadway punters were in for a shock last night when legendary actor Bill Murray appeared at a performance of Groundhog Day.
Murray, who starred as lead Phil Connors in the original film back when it was released in 1993, later visited the cast and crew backstage to pose for photos. The musical debuted at the Old Vic last year.
Groundhog Day has music and lyrics by Tim Minchin with a book from Danny Rubin.

The bows are happening. Murray is sobbing from what I can tell. I'm sitting right behind him.— Sopan Deb (@SopanDeb) August 9, 2017
