Richard Fleeshman and George Blagden to join Rosalie Craig and Patti LuPone in Company

The upcoming revival of Sondheim’s musical has announced further casting

Further casting as been announced for Marianne Elliott's upcoming production of George Furth and Stephen Sondheim's Company.

Joining Rosalie Craig as Bobbie, Patti LuPone as Joanne and Mel Giedroyc as Sarah will be Richard Fleeshman as Andy, George Blagden as PJ and Matthew Seadon-Young as Theo.

The three characters have been re-gendered for this new production and Sondheim has renamed the roles. Originally Andy was April, PJ was Marta and Theo was Kathy.

Gavin Spokes will also play Harry, married to Giedroyc's Sarah, while Richard Henders and Jennifer Saayeng will play David and Jenny. Ashley Campbell will play Peter and Ben Lewis is Larry, opposite Patti LuPone.

The musical follows Bobbie, who is approaching her 35th birthday as all her friends are wondering why she isn't married. Songs featured in the piece include "The Ladies who Lunch", "Side by Side" and "You Could Drive a Person Crazy".

The production opens in previews at the Gielgud Theatre from 26 September and is part of the new season of shows from Elliott's company with Chris Harper that the duo formed in 2016. Designs are from Bunny Christie, choreography from Liam Steel, lighting by Neil Austin and sound from Ian Dickson. Further casting will be announced in due course.
