The Moment I Saw You I Knew I Could Love You
So, with nothing but our gut instincts to guide us, we are set adrift in life rafts and fed on half remembered stories and dreams projected onto the walls of the space. A small packet of pills becomes a tiny cinema screen and stories are illustrated by scanning someone’s stomach as the performers join us in the cramped life rafts from which we witness this liltingly beautiful piece.
The three central performers make us feel safe with their tender stories and it is testament to their skill that despite the cramped conditions I remained engaged throughout. In the final moments we are asked to waltz with apples balanced between our heads. Initially we are rubbish but, when we stop planning and give in to our gut instincts, we slowly begin to dance.
