Circus Hilarious at the Laughter Dome (Newcastle)
However, with the Theatre Royal presently closed for a refit, they have brought their Circus Hilarious to Newcastle in an actual circus tent, pitched on the Town Moor.
While there are international circus acts in the show, it is Danny and Clive the audience have come to see and they ensure no one leaves disappointed. From the start its laughter all the way with Danny taking command, in his own slapstick way, but the audience is firmly in the palm of his hand at all times. His madcap humour and lunacy manages to cross all age gaps and there are gags aimed at parents, as well children. Their slosh scene is a delight to watch and brings back memories of Charlie Cairolie and the Blackpool Tower Circus.
From impersonating the likes of Elvis and a Chinese opera singer, through to an exploding piano and being fired from a canon, this laughter show has it all.
Danny and Clive know the North East has taken them to their hearts and this show keeps things ticking nicely over until they can appear once again in pantomime at the refurbished Theatre Royal.
