Jeff Goldblum returns for Old Vic’s 24 Hour Musicals gala

The Old Vic has announced some of the stars of its forthcoming 24 Hour Musicals Celebrity Gala, which will take place on Sunday 9 December 2012.

The event, now in its ninth year, will see established actors, singers, writers, composers and directors come together to create a series of four musicals in the space of just 24 hours, to raise funds for The Old Vic Theatre Trust.

Jeff Goldblum will return to the Old Vic (where he starred alongside Kevin Spacey in Speed-the-Plow in 2008) to make a “special appearance”, while other cast members include: Tracie Bennett, Rosalie Craig, Richard Fleeshman, Freddie Fox, Haydn Gwynne, Anthony Head, Laura Michelle Kelly, Colin Morgan, Con O’Neill, Julian Ovenden, Nigel Planer, Amy Nuttall, Jemima Rooper and Sharon Small.

Little Britain and Les Miserables star Matt Lucas is hosting proceedings and Old Vic artistic director Spacey will speak onstage to welcome the cast and audience.

This year’s event has been given a musical twist in honour of Trevor Nunn‘s production of Kiss Me, Kate, which is transferring from Chichester for a festive run at the Old Vic.

Tickets for 24 Hour Musicals Celebrity Gala are available through the Old Vic Box Office on 0844 871 7628 or online at www.oldvictheatre.com
