1st Night Photos: Stubbs & Carteret Open Trafalgar Season

The second Donmar residency at Trafalgar Studios 2, showcasing new directing talent, opened last night (14 November 2011), with Anna Carteret, Anna Calder-Marshall and Imogen Stubbs leading the cast of Salt, Root and Roe.

A new work by playwright Tim Price, Salt, Root and Roe is directed by Hamish Pirie, who was resident director at the Donmar in 2006.

The play is billed as a “heartbreaking, humorous tale of love and family
set against the mythical backdrop of North Pembrokeshire”, and continues to 3 December 2011.

Subsequent plays in the Donmar at Trafalgar season are Conor McPherson’s Dublin Carol, directed by Abbey
Wright (8-31 December) and Jean-Paul Sartre’s Huis Clos,
translated by Stuart Gilbert and directed by Paul Hart (5-28 January).
