Michael Nunn and William Trevitt - former dancers with The Royal Ballet - founded their all-male company Balletboyz in 2000. The company has since won multiple awards and has produced several acclaimed television projects, including The Rough Guide to Choreography (Channel 4), The Royal Ballet in Cuba (More4) and Balletboyz: The Rite of Spring (BBC Three), as well as creating the digital work for Christopher Wheeldon's Electric Counterpoint (The Royal Ballet).
After its premiere in autumn 2017, BalletBoyz return with their unique project: four pieces created in just 14 days. Choreographers Javier de Frutos, Craig Revel Horwood, Ivan Perez and Christopher Wheeldon teamed up with composers Scott Walker, Charlotte Harding, Joby Talbot and Keaton Henson to create new works which played with the concept of balance and imbalance. The programme also features Sadler's Wells Associate Artist Russell Maliphant's award-winning Fallen, featuring lighting from Sadler's Wells Associate Artist Michael Hulls and a powerful score by French film composer Armand Amar.
Musical melodrama set in Liverpool about twins separated at birth and the effects on their personalities as they grow up of 'nature' and 'nurture'. A poor family, already with kids, is blessed with twins, but they can't cope. The mother cleans at a 'posh' house where they are desperate to have kids but can't and a deal is struck which no-one must know about. Despite the efforts of the new family the boys paths cross time and time again as they grow and one becomes 'bad' while the other is 'good'. Eventually they clash with tragic consequences. The musical is un-usual in having a "narrator" who helps to move the plot along.
The Bob Dylan Story is the new stunning and definitive tribute to a songwriting genius who spoke for a whole generation. Enhanced by a top backing band, the show lovingly and authentically recreates the many songs that made Dylan the living legend he is today, the way we all remember hearing them. The heady idealism of Blowing In The Wind and The Times They Are AChangin; the electric venom of Subterranean Homesick Blues and Like A Rolling Stone. Timeless love songs like Lay Lady Lay and I'll Be Your Baby Tonight; the mysticism of All Along The Watchtower or Mr Tambourine Man. The lyrical tour de force of Hurricane to the catchy simplicity of Knocking On Heaven's Door - these and many more memorable songs, along with some of the stories behind them, are captured to perfection. Experience the thrill and energy of a full-blown electric Dylan concert planted firmly in the 1960s, a time when anything seemed possible, in a show that will remind you what REAL nostalgia feels like, and have you digging out your old vinyls to sustain the pleasure just that little bit longer.

The Santee family are unconventional, to say the least. FUP is a big-hearted, uproarious modern fable about family, love and nature set in a weird and wild Cornwall not so different from this one. Featuring live, foot-stomping music, quacking puppetry and Kneehigh's infamous eccentricity and charm, FUP is a story like no other.

Amongst the most popular of Verdi's operas, La traviata is the work of a master of the musical drama. Its perfumed arias and soaring choruses vividly depict the ravishingly decadent but glamorous world of Parisian high society as the background to a heart rending story of romantic happiness destroyed. Original book called La Dame aux Camelias.
Sung in English, with surtitles projected above the stage.

The inept and accident prone Cornley Polytechnic Drama Society embark on bringing an ambitious 1920's murder mystery (Murder at Haversham Manor) to The Edinburgh Festival. Chris the arrogant head of the drama society has directed the piece and cast himself as the dynamic Inspector. Desperate wannabe actress Sandra and the genuinely doting Max struggle opposite each other as the romantic interest while hapless Dennis still can't pronounce 'facade'. An hour of hilarious disaster ensues; actors get knocked out, the play gets stuck on a loop and the set falls down before the final denouement. The production ends with an uproarious, totally improvised Q&A session with the cast, where the audience can put their own questions to the unfortunate troupe.
Tribute band bringing the best Fleetwood Mac classics.

Inspired by Alfred Jarry's riot-inducing masterpiece, Kneehigh will wind-up and let rip their own version of theatre's most anarchic creation - KING UBU. Expect world-class buffoonery from Kneehigh stalwarts in this deliriously unhinged improvised promenade musical (surely the first of its kind)!
