Derek Acorah is a full time professional Spirit Medium who lives near Southport. His first supernatural experiences came as a child when the spirit of his late grandfather visited him. When the young Derek told his grandmother about this, she was not surprised, as she herself was a medium. His early career was as a professional footballer with teams such as the legendary Bill Shankly's Liverpool Football Club and the Australian premier league UFC Lion. Derek's psychic powers were always with him throughout his footballing career and on returning from Australia in the early 1980's he became a full time Spirit Medium based in his home city of Liverpool. In recent years Derek Acorah has achieved international success with his television and personal appearances across Europe the Middle East and the United States of America.
