A new ten week UK tour of The Marlowe Theatre's production of Of Mice and Men will commence on 29 January 2018.

Starting at the Marlowe Canterbury before visiting Northampton, Liverpool, Glasgow, Salisbury, Brighton, Wimbledon, Tunbridge Wells and Manchester, the show will be directed by Guy Unsworth with design by David Woodhead.

John Steinbeck's classic 1937 novella tells the story of George and Lennie, two migrant workers who dream of owning their own ranch. The text, which was listed at number 52 of the "nation's best loved novel" on the BBC's The Big Read survey, celebrates its 80th anniversary this year.

Unsworth says: "For me Of Mice and Men is one of the most beautiful stories ever told – both heart-warming and breaking at the same time. I fell in love with it when I studied it as a teenager, so it's always been on my bucket list to direct, and when I mention the title, so many people have a great fondness for it too. I can’t wait to bring it back to the stage."

Of Mice and Men will tour from 29 January to 14 April, visiting venues across the UK.
