First listen to Sheridan Smith on upcoming Funny Girl London cast recording

The London cast recording of Funny Girl starring Sheridan Smith and Darius Campbell, will be released on Decca Records on 5 August.

The cast recording will feature Smith and the rest of the West End cast performing the show's iconic songs including "You Are Woman, I Am Man", "Don't Rain on My Parade" and "People". You can get a first listen to Sheridan Smith performing on the album below.

With music by Jule Styne (Gypsy), lyrics by Bob Merrill and book by Isobel Lennart, Funny Girl, which is currently running at the Savoy Theatre, first opened on Broadway in 1964, transferring to London in 1966.

Michael Mayer’s new production transferred to the West End earlier this year, following its record-breaking run at the Menier Chocolate Factory.

Funny Girl runs at the Savoy Theatre until 8 October.
