Exclusive: Frances Ruffelle and Victoria Hamilton-Barritt perform "Best Friend" from The Wild Party

The musical opens at The Other Palace on 13 February

WhatsOnStage has been given an exclusive first listen to Frances Ruffelle and Victoria Hamilton-Barritt performing "Best Friend" from The Wild Party.

The musical, which will be the first production at The Other Palace (formerly the St James Theatre), is directed and choreographed by Olivier Award-winner Drew McOnie.

Based on Joseph Moncure March's 1928 poem of the same name, The Wild Party tells the story of one wild evening in a Manhattan apartment shared by Queenie (Ruffelle) and Burrs (John Owen-Jones), a vaudeville dancer and a vaudeville clown.

The cast also features Ako Mitchell (Ragtime), Lizzy Connolly (Once in a Lifetime), Bronte Barbe (Shrek), Dex Lee (Grease) and Tiffany Graves (The Producers). They are joined by Tony Award-winner Donna McKechnie, Melanie Bright, Simon Thomas, Gloria Obianyo, Genisis Lynea, Steven Serlin and Sebastien Torkia.

The Wild Party runs at The Other Palace from 13 February to 1 April.
