Laurence Boswell's production of The Mentor opened at the Vaudeville Theatre last night following a run earlier this year at Theatre Royal Bath.

Daniel Kehlmann's play stars F Murray Abraham in the role of Benjamin Rubin, a playwright who is being paid to mentor an emerging writer.

Guests at the opening night included Kehlmann, translator Christopher Hampton, and actor Steve Pemberton.
