In rehearsals with The Wild Party
We popped into rehearsals for The Wild Party to chat to director and choreographer Drew McOnie and cast members Frances Ruffelle, John Owen-Jones, Victoria Hamilton-Barritt and Lizzy Connolly.
Michael John LaChiusa's 2000 musical will open the recently rebranded The Other Palace (formerly the St James Theatre), which is now owned by Andrew Lloyd Webber with Paul Taylor-Mills as artistic director.
It is based on Joseph Moncure March's 1928 poem of the same name, and tells the story of one wild evening in a Manhattan apartment shared by Queenie (Ruffelle) and Burrs (Owen-Jones), a vaudeville dancer and a vaudeville clown.
The Wild Party runs at The Other Palace from 11 February to 1 April.
