Harry Potter and the Cursed Child: a year in pictures

We look back over the first year in the life of ”Harry Potter and the Cursed Child”, from the West End to foreign shores

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, J K Rowling's stage sequel to her famous wizarding book series, has had a storming opening year following its debut at the Palace Theatre. Written by Rowling and Jack Thorne, with direction from John Tiffany, the show opened to stellar reviews from all parties.

1 September 2017 is a special occasion for Potter fans – it marks the date of '19 Years Later', the final chapter of the Harry Potter book series, as well as first scene of the Harry Potter and the Cursed Child play.

To celebrate, last month the production released 400 tickets for the two parts on that '19 Years Later' day, all of which were speedily snapped.

With all this in mind, we look back over some of the highlights over the first twelve months (ish) of the show's life:
