Daisy Bowie-Sell appointed WhatsOnStage managing editor

WhatsOnStage is delighted to announce the appointment of Daisy Bowie-Sell as its new managing editor.

Bowie-Sell, who is currently Time Out London's deputy theatre editor, takes up the role on 1 October 2015, succeeding current managing editor Theo Bosanquet.

She said of her appointment: "It's a pivotal time for theatre journalism in the UK with the drive towards digital and online media. As the leading UK website dedicated to theatre nationwide, this role is a brilliant opportunity to help set the agenda for theatre journalism. I look forward to joining Sita and the team at WhatsOnStage as we look to the company's 20th birthday next year."

WhatsOnStage's chief operating officer Sita McIntosh added: "Daisy brings with her a wealth of experience to the role at WhatsOnStage, having worked at the heart of arts journalism over the past five years. She is the perfect appointment to our growing team, and to work alongside me as we continue to expand WhatsOnStage's remit at the forefront of theatre coverage across the UK."

Daisy Bowie-Sell has been deputy theatre editor at Time Out London since 2013. Prior to this she worked as a journalist on the arts desk of the Telegraph, where she wrote about theatre, film, TV and music and interviewed actors including Daniel Radcliffe, Helen Mirren and Michael Fassbender.
