Full cast joining Gemma Arterton in Saint Joan has been announced

The cast completing Josie Rourke’s upcoming production of Bernard Shaw’s play includes Fisayo Akinade

Full casting for Josie Rourke's upcoming production of Saint Joan has been announced.

Joining the already announced Gemma Arterton, Matt Bardock, Richard Cant, Hadley Fraser and Elliot Levey will be Fisayo Akinade, Niall Buggy, Simon Holland Roberts, Arthur Hughes, Rory Keenan, Syrus Lowe, Guy Rhys, and Jo Stone-Fewings.

The production will open on 19 December and run to 18 February 2017 at the Donmar Warehouse.

Saint Joan is Bernard Shaw's play about the legendary woman Joan of Arc. It follows the life and trial of Joan who was a peasant girl in France troubled by visions and was said to have led an army in the 100 years war. She was burnt at the stake in 1431 at the age of 19.

Saint Joan will be broadcast live from the Donmar Warehouse on 16 February 2017.

Saint Joan runs at the Donmar Warehouse from 19 December to 18 February, with previews from 9 December.
