Richard II, which is helmed by new RSC artistic director
Gregory Doran (look out for our ‘Changing of the Guard’ interview), also
features Nigel Lindsay, Oliver Ford Davies, Michael Pennington and Emma Hamilton.
It runs in Stratford-upon-Avon from 10 October to 16 November 2013 before transferring to the Barbican Theatre in London on 9 December for a seven-week run.
Richard II will be broadcast to cinemas worldwide on 13 November 2013 as the first production in the ‘Live from Stratford-Upon-Avon‘ initiative.
The RSC is also opening up its work behind the scenes through a series of filmed rehearsal diaries available online every Friday during the run-up to the screening.
