Julie Atherton stars in new musical Another Way at Cockpit

Julie Atherton will head the cast in the premiere of new musical Another Way at The Cockpit Theatre.

The show, which features the songs of ‘up-and-coming’ singer/songwriter Benedict, runs from 13 September to 5 October 2013 (previews from 11 September).

Another Way tells three short stories about three London-based couples – friends, family and lovers – over the course of three months.

According to press material, “It’s about luck in its different forms, from feeling lucky to being struck by luck, by a chance meeting. It’s about hope, it’s about getting stronger, and staying up later, for the ‘dawn of our glory days’.”

Julie Atherton originated the role of Kate Monster/Lucy the Slut in the WhatsOnStage Award-winning Avenue Q and made her West End debut as Sophie in Mamma Mia!.

With a book by Sarah Henley and Tori Allen-Martin, Another Way will be directed by Bo Boland. The cast also features Matthew Collyer, Andy Coxon, Aiden Crawford, Bart Edwards and Ria Cherrelle Horsford.

Another Way is produced by Tori Allen-Martin and Sarah Page for Interval Productions, who produced Streets at the Cockpit last year.
