Almeida supporters including Patrick Stewart, Ben Whishaw and Lesley Manville were among the stars celebrating the recent success of Mike Bartlett's play King Charles III at a "very English dinner" with Almeida artistic director Rupert Goold, Tim Pigott-Smith and other members of the cast.

Hosted by Richard Durden, the evening included entertainment, a three course meal and auction to raise funds to support the Almeida. Ben Whishaw performed an extract from The Bakkhai and Lesley Manville performed a monologue from Richard II.
