The Play That Goes Wrong transfers to West End

The WhatsOnStage Award-winner will open at the Duchess Theatre in September

Mischief Theatre's WhatsOnStage Award-winning The Play That Goes Wrong will transfer to the West End's Duchess Theatre on 14 September 2014, with previews from 5 September.

The production is going from strength to strength, currently towards the end of a sold-out UK tour. It transferred to the Trafalgar Studios following a successful run at the Old Red Lion Theatre last year, as well as selling out at the Edinburgh Festival in August 2013.

Co-written by Mischief Theatre company members Henry Lewis, Jonathan Sayer and Henry Shields and directed by Mark Bell, The Play That Goes Wrong introduces the "Cornley Polytechnic Drama Society" whose production of a 1920's murder mystery doesn't quite go to plan.

The Play That Goes Wrong features designs by Nigel Hook, lighting by Ric Mountjoy and the cast comprises Charlie Russell, Dave Hearn, Greg Tannahill, Henry Lewis, Henry Shields, Jonathan Sayer, Nancy Wallinger and Rob Falconer.
