Liverpool audiences are in for an early Christmas treat this year as the English National Ballet prepare to come to town.
Firm family favourite The Nutcracker will be performed at the Liverpool Empire in November - telling the popular story of Clara, her Nutcracker doll and magician Drosselmeyer.
Set on an enchanted Christmas Eve, the tale follows Clara on her magical journey, complete with battles and romance, to the glistening Land of Snow. It is here where her adventure truly begins.
Choreographed by Wayne Eagling, the production once again promises to captivate with its interpretation of Tchaikovsky favourites, including Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy and the Waltz of the Flowers.
Following its Northern stint, the ballet will return to the London Coliseum in time for the Christmas season.
The Nutcraker comes to the Liverpool Empire between 20-23 November.
