Rebecca Trehearn and Alexia Khadime join Amanda Abbington in A Little Princess musical

Andrew Lippa will conduct the staging of his musical at the Royal Festival Hall on 28 May

Further casting has been announced for Brian Crawley and Andrew Lippa's musical adaptation of A Little Princess, which is to be staged at the Royal Festival Hall next month.

Joining the previously announced Amanda Abbington (Sherlock) and Danny Mac (Sunset Boulevard), is Rebecca Trehearn (Show Boat), Adam J Bernard (Dreamgirls) and Alexia Khadime (Book of Mormon).

Making up the ensemble is Elias Hendricks, Joanna Goodwin, Landi Oshinowo, Mark Dugdale and Rosanna Hyland, as well as graduating students from Arts Ed.

Playing the child roles in the show will be Jasmine Sakyiama, Jasmine Nituan, Madeline Banbury, Delilah Bennett-Cardy, Sophie Beswick, Olivia Cowley, Tia Figgett, Andie Jordan, Agatha Meehan, Natasha Raphael and Kate Woodman.

Directed by Arlene Phillips, A Little Princess is based on Frances Hodgson Burnett's childhood novel about Sara Crewe, who is sent from her home in Africa to a boarding school in London. It has music by Lippa and book and lyrics from Crawley.

Lippa, whose other musicals include The Addams Family, Big Fish and The Wild Party, will conduct the semi-staged version of the show at the Royal Festival Hall on 28 May.

The production has lighting design by Nic Farman, costume and projection design by PJ McEvoy, musical direction by Alan Berry and musical supervision by Alan Williams. Casting is by Keston and Keston.
