The composer will arrive in London to conduct the UK premiere of his own musical
Composer and lyricist Andrew Lippa is to conduct a semi-staged version of his musical A Little Princess.
Lippa, who also wrote The Addams Family and The Wild Party, will conduct the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra in the concert performance at the Royal Festival Hall in May.
The musical is based on Frances Hodgson Burnett's childhood novel about Sara Crewe, who is sent from her home in Africa to a boarding school in London. The musical has music by Lippa and book and lyrics from Brian Crawley.
Arlene Philips is to direct the staging, and is currently on the hunt for 10 child stars. For more information on who they are looking for head to the casting page.
Lippa's musical Big Fish made its UK premiere at The Other Palace last year, with Kelsey Grammer starring.
A Little Princess runs at the Royal Festival Hall on May 28.
