The one-liner “You know who really gives kids a bad name? Posh and Becks” garnered the best response from voters.
It was followed by Tim Vine, who featured highly in last year’s poll as well, coming second with “Last night me and my girlfriend watched three DVDs back to back. Luckily I was the one facing the telly.”
Both Vine and Francis featured again in the top ten – chosen from a shortlist of 30 compiled for Dave by a team of comedy critics – scoring sixth and eighth place respectively.
