Wonder Woman Carter Goes Solo At Last in Sep
Although Carter is best known as the statuesque superheroine of the 1970s American TV series, she studied classical dance and drama as a child and toured the US as a singer in a rock band. She’s also a former Miss USA.
in the late 1970s Carter released her first album Portrait< and sang two of its songs in the 1979 Wonder Woman episode, ‘Amazon Hot Wax’. In the same year, she sold out the West End’s London Palladium. Thirty years later, she released her second solo album At Last, which reached number six in the USA Billboard charts, and has recently toured the States playing venues including Feinstein’s at Loews Regency and Lincoln Center in New York and the Kennedy Center in Washington DC.
The Garrick performances are the first dates for the show outside of the US and precede other international dates. Lynda Carter: At Last has musical direction by Paul Liem. The London run is produced by Neil Eckersley and Paul Spicer for Speckulation Entertainment, who earlier this year brought Will & Grace star Megan Mullally and her band to the West End.
