It has been confirmed that the Young Vic's hit production of A View From the Bridge starring Mark Strong will transfer to the West End, opening at the Wyndham's Theatre in February 2015.

Strong is joined by fellow original cast members Emun Elliott as Marco, Phoebe Fox as Catherine, Michael Gould as Alfieri, Luke Norris as Rodolpho and Nicola Walker as Beatrice.

Ivo Van Hove's production will open at the Wyndham’s Theatre on 16 February 2015 (previews from 11 February) and play for a strictly limited eight week season to 11 April 2015.

A View from the Bridge opened at the Young Vic in April where the production enjoyed an extended sell-out run. It features design and lighting is by Jan Versweyveld with costume designs by An D'Huys.

Young Vic artistic director David Lan said: "Our Young Vic audiences were in no doubt that this is truly the production of a lifetime. I am thrilled so many more people will share this exceptional experience. We’re delighted to be playing in the West End for the third year in a row, welcoming new audiences to the style and ambition of the Young Vic."

Strong's previous theatre work includes Sam Mendes' production of Twelfth Night at the Donmar Warehouse in 2002, performed in repertory with Uncle Vanya, David Thacker's production of Miller's Death of a Salesman, Patrick Marber's Closer (soon to be revived at the Donmar) and Peter Gill’s production of Speed-the-Plow.
