Ding Dong the Wicked

A short 30 minute play by Caryl Churchill, played around the evening performances of her main stage play, Love and Information, Ding Dong the Wicked runs at the Royal Court Theatre until 13 October.

Charley's Aunt

(Previews from 20 September)

Brandon Thomas' classic comedy about two friends awaiting the arrival of one's aunt, her delays, and the hilarity that ensues stars Jane Asher and Mathew Horne and runs at the Menier Chocolate Factory until 10 November.

Julius Caesar
1 October 2012

A new production from ENO of Handel's opera about one of the most famous Roman emperors. Conducted by Baroque expert Christian Curnyn, Julius Caesar runs at the London Coliseum until 2 November.

Racine's tragedy of unfulfilled passion, in a new version by author Alan Hollinghurst stars Anne-Marie Duff, and runs at the Donmar Warehouse until 24 November.

Paul Merton - Out of my Head

Comedian Paul Merton is returning to stand-up after a 13-year absence. Billed as a "night of sketches, music, magic, variety and dancing girls (two of them aren’t girls)", it runs at the Vaudeville Theatre until 20 October.

Jonathan Lewis's award-winning play about the tedium, terror and tribulations suffered by five young soldiers recovering from injuries incurred in the line of duty stars Laurence Fox, Matthew Lewis and Arthur Darvill, among others, and runs at the Duchess Theatre until 15 December. Howard Barker's play about the shadowy territory between personal ambition and moral responsibility was first written for radio before being adapted for the stage in the eighties. Starring Fiona Shaw, it runs at the NT Lyttelton until 9 December.

Directed by the 2012 James Menzies-Kitchin Young Director award-winner Sam Pritchard, Marius von Mayenburg's Fireface runs at the Young Vic until 20 October.
