Kieran Lyn’s new play, about a couple divided by a country’s redrawn border, premieres at the Finborough Theatre with a run to 7 August.

The Doctor’s Dilemma

George Bernard Shaw’s 1906 play is revived at the National Theatre starring Aden Gillett, Malcolm Sinclair and Tom Burke. Directed by Nadia Fall, it continues in rep in the NT Lyttelton until 12 September.

Richard III

Olivier Award-winner Mark Rylance returns to Shakespeare’s Globe for the first time since stepping down as artistic director in 2005 to play the title role in Richard III, which continues in rep until 13 October.

Elliot Davis and Busted star James Bourne reunite to present a new
“out of this world” musical. Featuring a national of 40 YMT members aged
11-21, it runs at Riverside Studios until 28 July.

Olympics Opening Ceremony
27 July 2012

Danny Boyle directs the £27million opening ceremony of the London 2012 Olympic Games. The 3-hour spectacular is thought to include evocations of the English countryside, Shakespeare readings by Kenneth Branagh and a show-closing set from Paul McCartney. Many West End theatres will be dark during the event, so be sure to check with box offices if you’re planning a trip.
