Music Mix-up Causes Chaos at Theatre503???

Staff at Battersea’s Theatre503 were delighted, if surprised, to receive an “unprecedented number of bookings” for recent show Venison, a short play about deer-hunting by upcoming playwright Tom Morton-Smith. However, they soon found out that American rock band The Strokes had adopted the same title for a secret gig at Dingwalls in Camden, the band’s first UK appearance in over four years.

Theatre503’s phone number had been mistakenly listed on a music blog, and picked up by Strokes fans across the country, causing “chaos” at the 80-seater venue’s box office. According to a source, staff at 503 had to re-confirm every ticket, informing countless disappointed music fans of the mix up – “we remained unruffled, though we were very relieved when it was all sorted out”.
