New casting announced for Les Miserables

Cameron Mackintosh has announced cast changes for his production of Les Miserables at the Queen's Theatre, London.

From 5 December, Simon Gleeson (Mamma Mia!) will replace Peter Lockyer as Jean Valjean, Lucy O'Byrne (The Sound of Music) will take over from Rachelle Ann Go as Fantine, and Eva Noblezada will make way for Hollie O'Donoghue to play Eponine. Ann Go and Noblezada are set to join the Broadway cast of Miss Saigon in the new year.

Further cast changes include Paul Wilkins as Marius, and Charlotte Kennedy as Cosette, both made their West End debuts in Les Miserables last year.

David Langham (Thénardier), Katy Secombe (Madame Thenardier) and Chris Cowley (Enjolras) all continue in their roles.

From 9 January to 22 April 2017, Hayden Tee will stand in for Jeremy Secomb as Javert, while Secomb takes a sabbatical to perform the lead role in Tooting Arts Club's off-Broadway revival of Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street.

Les Miserables is currently booking at the Queen's Theatre, London until 14 October 2017.
