On screen, Tracie Bennett is known for her recurring role as Sharon Gaskell in Coronation Street and for playing the daughter Millandra in the film Shirley Valentine.

In her theatre career she has won two Olivier Awards for Best Supporting Role in a Musical for her performances in  She Loves Me and Hairspray, and additional nominations for  High Society and Follies.

Bennett was also nominated for the Olivier Award for Best Actress in a Musical for Mrs Henderson Presents while her performance as Judy Garland in End of the Rainbow earned her an Olivier nomination for Best Actress in a Play and a Tony Award nomination in the same category when the production transferred to Broadway.

Speaking of Broadway, she starred in Hangmen, while also appearing in the world premiere of Stephen Sondheim’s Here We Are in New York
