in London. He trained at the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art.

His most celebrated musical theatre role came in 2016, when he originated the part of Dewey Finn in the West End premiere of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s School of Rock — earning an Olivier Award nomination for Best Actor in a Musical in 2017.

His stage work includes receiving an Evening Standard Theatre Award nomination for his performance as Tony Lumpkin in the National Theatre’s 2012 production of She Stoops to Conquer, and his turn as Dogberry in the NT’s 2022 Much Ado About Nothing. Further theatre credits include The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee at the Donmar Warehouse

On screen, he is known for the BAFTA-winning BBC comedy Am I Being Unreasonable? and the Amazon thriller series Lazarus, alongside roles in Belgravia: The Next Chapter and Daddy Issues.
