Aya’s major television credits include Amazon’s Emmy-nominated, hit series The Boys (executive produced by Eric Kripke, Seth Rogen, and Evan Goldberg) for which she won a Critics Choice Super Award; a starring role alongside Sam Rockwell and Michelle Williams in FX’s Emmy nominated mini-series Fosse/Verdon, and FXX’s critical hit comedy, You’re The Worst created by Stephen Falk, which earned her 2016 TCA and Critics Choice Award nominations.
Aya’s film credits include Reykjavik opposite Jeff Daniels and Jared Harris. Other notable film credits starring We Broke Up alongside William Jackson Harper, Tayarisha Poe’s The Young Wife which premiered at SXSW, the Shudder film Scare Me, which premiered at Sundance, Mary Goes Round, which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival and earned her the ‘Excellence in Acting’ award at the Vail Film Festival, the Netflix comedy Game Over, Man!, and Martin Scorsese’s The Wolf of Wall Street.
Aya got her start on stage in New York City and has extensive off-broadway credits, originating roles in world-premiere productions at Playwright’s Horizons, The Public Theater, Manhattan Theatre Club, MCC, Ars Nova and the Rattlestick Theatre.
