About the Show
Throughout history, people have sought to achieve higher degrees of consciousness, whether through the experience of catharsis, spiritual rapture, conscious dreaming or ruptures in the structure of consciousness. Inspired by Adam Mickiewicz’s Forefathers’ Eve and William Gibson’s Sprawl Trilogy, Forefather’s Eve_copy.doc is a modern reflection of the idea of ritual, and a narrative about the body threatened with annihilation. Using codified structures and clearly delineated sequences, the work references contemporary science and medicine, augmented reality and algorithms.
