Somewhere in rural North East England, Jake is discovering what type of person he wants to become. The men around him make it known that as a bloke, “You don’t let anyone give you any jip. If someone is going to punch you, make sure you punch them twice as hard. And then have a pint” with his Fatha being the go-to man for this type of stuff. Jake realises he isn’t his Fatha. And his Fatha soon realises that he isn’t Jake. This one-person show tells the story of what it’s like to inherit your working class masculinity.
