Tcha Limberger Trio – with special guest John Kelly

For one night only Crazy Coqs brings you a very special concert to honour Django Reinhardt’s birthday this week. Undeniably the most loved and respected Gypsy musician on the planet, violin superstar Tcha Limberger, recently has been accorded the title by The Times “Polymath King of Gypsy music”. A blind musician born in Belgium, acclaimed across musical genres, celebrated within the jazz and world/folk music worlds as both a singer and instrumentalist. He has been recognised as one of the most prominent and important figures in folk music of the Carpathian basin. With guitarist Dave Kelbie, accompanist to world class musicians such as Evan Christopher in Django a la Creole, John Etheridge’s Sweet Chorus, Don Vappie and Jazz Creole, Fapy Lafertin and Tcha Limberger, and Sebastien Girardot an extremely versatile bass player of Django à la Créole, La Section Rhythmique, Three Blind Mice and Don Vappie’s Jazz Creole. Invited special guest in this London performance only is British guitarist John Kelly.
